Texas School Procedures has been evaluating what safety materials that we need to keep on our website. In the last 5 years, the Texas School Safety Center has grown in their resources tremendously and the state is requiring districts to use more of their products. TxSP will be removing the following items from our website this summer:
District Operational Section:
- Active Shooter
- District Committee
- EOPs
- Hazard Analysis
Campus Operational Section:
- Safety Drills
- Safety Tabletop Exercises
Please feel free to download any of the above materials for references as they will be removed soon. We have received a great deal of positive feedback on our Behavior Threat Assessment training and materials. We will be reviewing those to determine which materials we will keep to ensure they align with and support the TxSSC required BTA materials. Other safety documents will still be located in the Campus or District Operational Sections and the Training Section.

TxSP is currently developing a filing cabinet very different from what we have provided in the past. When the company was initially established 12 years ago, we were focused solely on helping districts break down procedures into simple steps as well as information on how to be compliant with all federal and state mandates. However, since COVID and other contributing factors have occurred, our staff has felt the need to provide more materials on equally pressing matters to support districts in their work.
TxSP has posted a new filing cabinet Universal Standards – Tier 1 in the Curriculum and Instruction Section. If you go to the link now, the only filing drawer with materials included is the filing drawer labeled, “Referral to MTSS.” As part of the Universal – Tier 1 Level – after teachers have implemented universal standards with fidelity, some students will need to be considered for MTSS Involvement. If the district uses the TxSP MTSS materials, these materials will align with that process.
Our Universal Standards section will provide materials and learning kits based on the research of many of the most noted names in education reflecting standards that should appear in all classrooms.
You will begin to see the structure of the modules being set up in preparation for the materials to be released over the 2025-26 school year. The section will provide learning modules for campus principals to review with all teachers who need a reboot, out-of-state teachers, as well as alternative certified or non-certified teachers.
